The trip was very well organized by our tour guide Leo. We didn’t have to wait long for the queue, he took care of everything. The jungle swing was amazing. Even if it was raining cats and dogs, the staff gladly helped us. The coffee plantation excursion was also worth it! I strongly recommend this experience.

Best of Ubud Tour with Jungle Swing My girlfriend and I visited Bali for the first time as a short stop-off on route to Australia. We only had 2 days here due to flight connections so wanted to get as much in as possible while we could. We researched online and saw that HBD Tour Services was the best provider and it certainly delivered. We were picked up outside our Villa at 9am by our driver/tour guide Ma-de who is local to the Ubud area. Ma-de was such a friendly guy and was so welcoming and explained the itinerary to us (due to weather he suggested we re-arranged the order slightly which worked out really well for us). The car was very clean, comfy and had air-con. Our itinerary was: Tegenungan Waterfall - Ma-de recommended we go here first to avoid the midday heat (lots of steps) and afternoon crowds. Great spot and impressive waterfall. Coffee plantation - Local small coffee plantation tour with 10+ taster tea/coffees included in tour price which is fantastic. Monkey Forest - A great experience to see these incredible animals in their natural habitat. Ma-de put us at ease around them and told us lots of information. Lunch - Three-course traditional Indonesian meal at a beautiful restaurant in the hills surrounded by palm trees. The food was easily the best we had during our stay. Jungle swing - Ma-de took us to a less touristy spot for this. It was great, enough to get the adrenaline going and the staff took loads of photos and videos. Tirta Empul Temple - A UNESCO World Heritage site. Ma-de gave us a true insight into the religious practices and local traditions. Ma-de also parked the car in a location to help us avoid being harassed by locals trying to sell stuff at the end of the tour. Tegallalang Rice Terrace - Amazing views. Well-worth the visit later in the day once the temperature had cooled and the crowds and died down a bit. Drop-off Ubud - We asked to be dropped into central Ubud and Ma-de happily took us there and gave us some recommendations on where to go. Ma-de was super knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best possible experience. At each destination he arranged all entry requirements and costs, told us about local traditions and culture and was constantly offering to take photos for us to remember the experience by. The price of a ticket for this tour is extremely good value for money - if you were to hire a scooter, transport yourself about and pay for entry at all the places you would easily end up spending at least 2-3x more.
