Overview

Begin the tour by meeting your driver or tour guide at your hotel lobby with a warm smile. You will be driven to the middle of Bali in Ubud village. There you can stop at the popular sacred monkey forest, where you will find around 700 Balinese long tailed macaques in wild. Walk along the 12,5 hectares forest as the perfect place for the healthy monkeys. Find three temples inside guarded by the monkeys live in harmony.

Next, drive to the north of Ubud to stop at the magical Tegalalang rice terrace to see the real traditional farmer activities in their daily activities. Not far from this area you will have a chance to visit traditional coffee plantation with its popular animal poo coffee.

Swing on a giant swing overlooking the haunted valley will be soon becoming your favorite activity. Make a unique picture for your social media feeds. Next, enjoy your included lunch (if option selected) with the jungle atmosphere.

After that, you will visit Tirta Empul a holy spring temple. You can see how Balinese people doing a holy blessing before they pray at the main temple. And your last stop is Tegenungan waterfall with a beautiful green surrounding make the area very fresh. Take a short walk to get closer to the waterfall or just see the view from the top hill.

Amazing tour of Ubud!

Santika got in touch to confirm our pickup location shortly after the booking which was reassuring, and also reached out the morning of pickup to confirm once again, excellent communication! Santika gave us an informative summary of Balinese culture as we made our way to the Monkey Forest in Ubud. We appreciated his safe driving after experiencing some patchy trips from other drivers in Bali. From the Monkey Forest to our final destination of the day Santika guided us through each location, we never felt alone and were glad to have him as our guide. The coffee plantation, jungle swing and lunch at D'Ars Warung were all fantastic and well organised as part of our tour package. The rice terrace was also excellent and had many activities available, if we desired. The Tirta Empul temple visit was particularly memorable and Santika helped us navigate the important etiquette of the sacred site. Lastly the waterfall and glass bridge were also great things to see and experience. All in all a great day made possible by our most excellent guide, Santika!

Best of Ubud with jungle swing

The jungle swing was the highlight of this tour. They used a machine to pull us up. Most Bali swing will have the guides pushing the swing. The first drop was scary but after the initial shock, it was fun. We didn't get to see the king's palace because it was still close when we got there but we were fine with it. We took some pictures outside. We went to a temple that I couldn't remember the name. It was beautiful, like a peaceful Bali garden. We skipped the Monkey Forest because after my experience with monkeys in Thailand, I didn't want to go near wild monkeys again. Our guide Leo was patient and on time.

Incredible Bali Highlights in a Day

What an incredible day we had! This was a great way to see the highlights of what Bali has to offer. Our guide, Merta, was the best! He picked us up on time. We had good conversations with him between locations. We both had questions about each others’ cultures, so it was nice to share. He was very familiar with and knowledgeable about each location. Merta also gave us time to ourselves to enjoy. He was helpful with pictures and also took a great video of us at the rice fields. The experience was totally worth it. We have a lifetime of memories from this. We highly recommend to anyone that is considering this amazing experience in Bali.
