Incredible day with Merta.

I can honestly say the whole experience was faultless. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Merta messaged me immediately after my last minute purchase, to arrange collection at my hotel. I was travelling solo and felt very relaxed and comfortable in Merta’s company. I was asked questions so he could tailor the day to my needs and was given information about the Balinese history and way of life.

Exceeded our expectations

This tour exceeded all our expectations. Firstly we hadn’t realised that it was a private tour so that was a pleasant surprise. Went to the coffee plantation first where we had a quick tour and for a small fee got to taste various coffees and teas. The lad showing us around was so lovely and made the tour all the more enjoyable. Then onto the monkey forest (before it got too busy). I liked that the monkeys were able to live as wild animals and that it wasn’t a zoo. Then it was onto the rice fields, which were stunning. I also did the zip line there which was really cheap. Then we went for an all we could eat buffet. The views were spectacular of the volcano and the lake and the food was excellent too. I’m vegetarian and there was plenty of choice. Next it was on to a temple. We seemed to pick the right times as this was really quiet. Then lastly on to the waterfall. It’s a steep walk down to it and a steep walk back up but totally worth it. Again we picked the right time as there was hardly anyone there and we were able to stand under the waterfall. (We preferred this waterfall to Tegenungan falls as it was less touristy and busy). You have to walk through a stream to get to the fall so take appropriate footwear. The thing that made this day extra special though was our tour guide Hendra. He was really friendly, informative and accommodating. He also is an excellent photographer and he took some amazing photos on my phone for us that I wouldn’t have been able to do myself! Would definitely recommend this tour. We had a fantastic day.
